The emissions analysis feature in CarbonTrail enables you to dive deeper and understand the components of your emission figure.
It is split into multiple parts:
Emissions Totals:
Total Emissions - Your overall emissions in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents (tCO2e).
Scope 1 Emissions - Emissions that come from sources that you directly control, e.g. your company fleet.
Scope 2 Emissions - Emissions that come from your share of the electricity used in your operations.
Scope 3 Emissions - Emissions that come from your supply chain.
Emission Benchmark
We include an indication of how you are performing against the industry average, based on the revenue figures you gave us, or that we extracted from your accounting tool. For more information on this, head here.
Emissions over time
Please note, this feature is only available to those who are using the Xero integration.
This chart shows your emissions, grouped by scope, over time. It is useful to help you understand where there might have been emissions hot spots across your year, so you can see how seasonal variations, for example, affect your emissions figures.
Emissions by category
CarbonTrail automatically categorises your emissions into one of over 200 emissions categories. We group them again into the standard industry groupings, such as Electricity, Information Technology, Manufacturing, etc, to help you see the breakdown of this across your spend and activities across the year.
Top Suppliers
This table shows the top suppliers that contribute to your emission figure for this past year.
If you are a member of a cohort, we'll discuss these figures in relation to the rest of your region at the final workshop.
